Parnell, Green, Feliciano, Putz and K-Rod are all elements of a much improved bullpen over last year's castaways, but one thing is now certain- Mets fans, players, coaches and executives will still be reaching for the Rolaids this season.
The difference is that this time around the game will end with a win.
Last season the Mets would have found some way to blow this game, but in the boxscore tomorrow K-Rod will have his second Save in as many chances, and the number 2 in the win column is all that matters.
- Judging by his early successes, I may have been wrong about Delgado. It looks like he has a lot left in that bat. Either that or he's been eating his 'Wheaties.'
- Murphy looks like the real deal in the number two spot. Although, he makes left field exciting.
- Ryan Church isn't going to give his job to Gary Sheffield easily, if at all. Sheff needs to get into some ballgames, but if he doesn't get enough playing time we could have a grumpy old guy on our hands.
2-0...Let's Go Mets!!
