Eli Manning came into this season needing to prove that his playoff, and Super Bowl, performance was no fluke. So far, Eli has done that, although he hasn't faced any stiff opposition yet. He won't this week, either. Eli should be good for another two touchdown passes as he's taken full control of the offense now that Shockey is out of the picture. For all Shockey brought to the table, Eli was never comfortable with him around. It's Eli's team now. He's backed up by a running game that has defenses on their heels, or in the case of trying to stop Brandon Jacobs, on their backs. Jacobs and Ward will wear down the defenders and Bradshaw will pop on the scene and run circles around the tired units.
In VFC's opinion, Pittsburgh will be the first real challenge for these Giants.
The Jets will be facing San Diego on the road, and the Chargers will be fuming after a botched call by a ref denied them a come from behind win.
If LT is fully healthy, this game may not even be close. So far, possibly because he's not confident Favre has mastered the Jets playbook, Eric Mangini has been hesitant to put the football in Favre's hands in critical situations. Favre is the face of the Jets this year and he needs to have the football when it matters, whether he knows the playbook or not.
Count on a Jets loss this Sunday.

New England over Miami
